[ bank's storage fee ]
What does Bank's SA means to you?
I bet 99% of you will say Saving Account? Right? Right?
Well, now learn a new term, its actually Storage Account :)
Yes, and there is rental fee involved, which is what we call INFLATION!
Inflation : Your mother will tell you, 30 years ago one bowl of noodle cost 10 cents, but TODAY, one bowl of noodle is about S$2 plus, so 20 to 30 years down the road, it might be S$6. The ever increase in price level will be the inflation rate that we should expect.

Just by looking at this diagram, I am quite sure you will understand why I say its a Storage Account rather than a Saving Account.
Just look at the amount of "storage fee" (inflation) you got to pay by storing your money in a bank.
ALMOST HALF OF YOUR SAVING!!!!
There's no free lunches in this world, why save in the first place when you know you will be losing?
Just take a look at the banks around, how many are actually giving you 1%? The most I have seen so far is 0.8% and thats for fixed deposit.
For saving account, don't need to say more, 0.25%, so every 1000 you save, your interest is S$2.50, when inflation happily grow at 5% and gobble up you S$2.50 interest plus another S$2.50 of what you have saved.
Pathetic? VERY? your hard earned money!
Is not that you didn't try hard to save you know, is just that you are placing it in a wrong place.
Since you already set your mind in saving, why not put somewhere that can give you higher interest, it may not mean you will earn by doing so, but at least you can fight the inflation, or rather have enough interest to pay for the inflation.
It ache to see parents hard earned money losing this way. Their hard earned money that they save for whatever reason. They lost it, just because they are not educated.
Like my mum, she save alot, in fact she don't spend. I am not talking about these few years, but over 30 over years ever since she start working. I don't even dare to calcualate how much she have lose. Now that I know, and I am able to calculate those scary figures. I will want to help her do something with her hard earned money.
Although it will take some time, but I am sure I will be able to convince her. I rather be rejected 10 over times then not even trying to educate her :)
Then of course, I am not saying you must save 100% of your money, of course there must be some liquid cash for emergency, and that's when proper financial planning come in :)

[ new chapter unfold. ]
RMITGraduated
.
and a new chapter
(successful) begins!
I went to fortune telling at Beauty World Plaza with Wendy, searching an answer for my future. Okay la, I know very auntie-
fied.
Dr Lye had also calculated for me, some of the pointers given are similar, so I really hope whatever pointer predicted will come true.my eight character 6月13日,1350 hours.- Lack of Gold and Water elements in my life, so my suitable career path will be in finance line. I can also be in the police force.
- Officially broke up with ex-boyfriend last year.
- Will bring luck to my partner. Start dating me.haha
- After my 09 birthday, life will be good.
- Next year is a good year for me.
- Life full of man! Man that will assist me in my career.I like this!
- In my Past life, I was an Indian, so if my boss is an Indian, I will be very well taken care of. A Indian husband even better.
- Marry Late - After 32, she say don't even bother marrying before 30, confirm flirt around.
- Career Peak 37-38 Years Old
- Lucky color - Gold, Silver, White
- Lucky number - 65XX, I want to buy 4D, so let me buy first.=D
- Great Big Flirt. OH WELL!
- Dr Lye said my career will be in a fast pace environment, management level, hard work will be paid off through monetary, and will be running around these 2 years. 2010 will be a busy year! OH! he also said that my daughter will be feminine and will bring luck to me, but I wonder where she inherit the feminine part.
my palm.- My Mouth is my working tool.
- and she goes : "WA! you really flirt leh", at that point of time I already kind of physco myself that, "YES! I am a flirt", whatever!
and the last question I asked was, whether I can be a teacher, her reply was : 你不要误人子弟!
I am like damm sian!Anyway, there are more, but I cannot really remember what she said already.=D
With all these pointers in minds, some (very short)experiences, about 1 months of dilemma and having to pass 3 papers in a week (with m5 and HI back to back), I have decided to join Jerry Fong (everyone will know him, my financial adviser) and his team as an Adviser from
Pathfinder Alliance, Prudential.=D
It is an industry I believe in and will want to be successful in.
Ya! I am not those who joined and leave, I join to succeed.=D
I am so so glad that I have a group of supportive friends during my dilemma stage. And the encouraging part will be having 2 colleagues from clinic (who after to listening to my short sharing of basic financial planning) ready to take up plans from me. It really boost my confidences, and I really enjoyed the sharing session knowing that I got them protected and prepared for their future needs.
Acquiring KNOWLEDGE through learning and meeting people from different aspect of life.
Accumulating my WEALTH from young through proper Financial Planning.
Achieving FREEDOM Financially in years to come.
I choose to believe that I will only be better. =D
Well, like I told ning, setting up this blog is to mark the begining of my career, and following next will be milestones of my career path. Other than showcasing my EVER WONDERFUL LIFE, and thoughts of life, I will be sharing alot on
Financial Planning, and what my team and Prudential can offer.=D
After reading with much thoughts, if you think you want to know more or you think I will be able to assist you in planning and allocating your hard earned cash efficiently, I will just be a phone call away :)
And Ning keep asking when I am going to quit NPCC everytime I say I have a camp or course. Well, I am glad that NPCC is still part of my life, I am still enjoying myself with the KIDS , thankful that I still have the plattform for me to share my experiences and what is most important is the learning from the kids and teachers. Now, given the flexibility of my bread and butter, I think before reaching the next stage (become MRS.), I will still be part of the CORPS.
